Description
POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
• Performs assignments requiring a general understanding of the principles, theories, and practices of purchase order creation on external suppliers and expediting input raw materials
• Required to apply the knowledge practices and precedents to supply and demand management/material planning decisions in support of customer requirements, while aiming for Just-In-Time inventories
• Lead the principles of forecasting, order management, JIT, Material Resource Planning, inbound logistics, safety stock inventory planning techniques, Min/Max inventory stock planning, and purchase order execution activities
• Applies sound analytical techniques, product knowledge, and systems application knowledge to evaluate material requirements, and delivery scheduling for assigned products
• Required to understand how to generate hard copy, e-mail, fax, EDI, and supplier portal purchase orders
• Promotes open and effective oral and written communications to internal inventory team, regional master schedulers and external NCR suppliers in a promote and effective manner
• Balances order and forecast demand requirements with on hand inventory and purchased supply capabilities to maximize on time customer shipment satisfaction
• Works routine demand and supply exception messages requiring problem solving, and decision making skills
• Works purchasing exception messages promptly and efficiently
• Manages inventory and assets through systems and processes; Executes basic logistics processes
• Inputs product numbers and other required information into ERP system
• Works on technical problems / issues of moderate complex scope within defined procedures and practices
Required Skills and Experience
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s Degree
Internships and/or 0-2 years of related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
